Audio Transfers - Tape to Digital
Anyone thinking about revisiting their old recordings for a re-mix/re-mastering? We can help...!
2 inch 24-track tapes digitised to 24 x WAVs, up to 96 KHz, 24 bit (tapes 'baked' first if necessary).
½ inch 8-track/16-track tapes (eg Fostex/Tascam machines, by arrangement) to WAVs, as above.
¼ inch 2-track tapes digitised to stereo WAV or CD (tapes 'baked' first if necessary)
2-track DAT to stereo WAV or CD
2-track Sony F1/PCM 710 (Betamax) digital tape to WAV or CD
We have, on occasions, even been able to create releasable masters after restoring material from cassette tape.
Digital multitrack wavs to 2" 24 track tape and back to wavs (particularly beneficial for digitally recorded drums, guitars etc - for genuine tape saturation rather than emulation by plug-ins - arguably the best of both recording worlds)
Vinyl to CD or stereo wav files, including full Cedar DeClick processing and cover artwork scanning, when necessary employing our own specialist (and closely guarded secret) techniques for playing otherwise unplayable records - 16, 33, 45 and 78 rpm
